Why do you need a side hustle in 2022?

There are a lot of people that love to talk about side hustle ideas and making passive income as a way of making a little extra cash on the side…

However, there are a few very important reasons that aren’t being stated as to why you need to be setting up your own flexible side hustle with the companies that we are going to soon discuss, they are:

  • Side hustles have exploded over the last few years as technology has advanced with more than 60 million Americans already working for hire companies.
  • These companies are loving the trend because companies don’t have to pay a lot of taxes so it might not be long before freelancing is the way everyone works in the coming future.
  • Getting your side business and hustle started TODAY has gotten so much easier to do and is going to make you ready for when that shift actually happens.
  • Even if you’re not worried about the coming job apocalypse, starting a side hustle is a great way to reach financial freedom That way you can make a little extra cash on the side to reach all of your dreams and goals just that much faster!

These side hustles have little to no start-up fees!

All of these side hustles (that are listed below) have little to no start-up fees, so that means that there’s no reason not to sign up to take a tour of what the side hustle might feel like because there is little to no risk involved.

Another great point to point out is, that a lot of flexible side hustles most usually involve freelancing and have little to no start-up fees anyways, because basically, the premise behind any great success, is “you often get what you put in”

Now let’s talk about what kind of money you can make!

What kind of money are we talking about?

Let’s talk about how much money you can make from each of these side hustles because I don’t know a single person that wouldn’t benefit from having more money right now.

The money you can make from these side hustles can be a lot or a little, as it all depends on how much effort and time you set aside to prioritize them to be great money earners.

Moreover, these flexible side jobs are not to be considered full-time, (that’s why they are called side hustles for a reason), however, you can certainly change that if you add a few of them together.

Additionally, if you do choose to add a few of them together, you could potentially bring in some real cash and that could benefit you and your family this year.

Lastly, I will list out how much money you could potentially make under each side hustle heading. That way you can get a general idea as to whether you would want to sign up for it or not.

And one more thing, before you head into the list I will also have a link under each side gig that will lead you to the signup page, that way you wan’t have to struggle to find it for yourself!

Now, let’s get to the list of flexible side hustles to do in 2022!

5 Flexible Side Hustles You Can Do in Your Spare Time

1. Company: Respondent.

The first company to turn into a great potential side hustle earner is called Respondent. Now, what Respondent does is they send you new products so you can BETA test them.

When any type of company is about to launch a new product they actually want to send out their new products to their “beta testers” that way they can get their feedback and their review to see if they can tweak the product to make it a little bit better.

So, if you have the time to give your opinion to a company like Respondent, your opinion matters when it comes to the price, the sizing, the weight, and your overall review of the product.

In this case, your opinion = real cash!

NOTE: They will run a background criminal check with you to make sure you are the right candidate for the companies they work with.

Requirements: Must be 18 years of age, and have a working WiFi Internet connection.

2. Company: Upwork.com.

Upwork is another incredible side job because you can become a virtual assistant (VA) for almost anything.

People who generally hire other people from Upwork pay you per hour and believe it or not you can actually negotiate with the person who is hiring you on how much you think you are worth.

If you would like to be paid a fair price for that job, you can get hired for work under certain popular categories such as graphic design, admin assistance, customer service, and whatever they need to carry out the job.

Basically, if you sign up and create a profile, you can input what tasks/skills you have experience with, for instance, such as graphic design, Photoshop, virtual assistant experience, admin, bookkeeping, social media, etc, and negotiate a rate you are most comfortable with.

NOTE: Keep in mind that the hirees want to hire someone with experience for their VA work, so the more experience you have under your belt the higher the hourly rate you can negotiate.

Requirements: Must be 18 years of age, and have a working WiFi Internet connection. They will not run a background or criminal check but experience and references may be needed.

3. Company: Uber or Lyft.

Uber or Lyft (whatever you prefer) is another great side hustle, especially if you are always on the go!

As I am sure you’ve probably ridden with one of them, there is no reason not to make additional cash if you already own a car, have a clean driving record, and have some extra spare time.

All you have to do is download their app, get approved by one of the driving companies, and drive your potential commuters to their final destination.

Driving other people around can pay pretty decent, anywhere from $20 to $35 an hour depending on where you live and how many commuters you pick up.

Moreover, it’s a very flexible side job that you can take advantage of if you have a decent working car and/or a good driving record.

NOTE: Every area is going to be different so it’s a hard one to know exactly what you’re going to make until you start driving people around. Obviously, if you live in a busy metropolis area you may make more than in a rural town, however, if you can fill in a need you can make some extra money in doing so.

Requirements: Must be 18 years of age, have a working car, and phone to access the apps. They will run a background and criminal check.

4. Company: Tutor.com.

This next side hustle you can have set up and get started in a day, however, only if you have experience speaking English.

Teaching English online has exploded in popularity in the past few years, and the best platform to get paid to do it is Tutor.com.

When you create a profile you will get assigned to students straight away and can start making money in less than a week!

This site is legit and will give you as many hours as you can handle, for example in a 30-minute session, you can expect to make anywhere between $15 and $50 dollars depending on your experience and how many students you teach.

Most students are going to need three to five hours a week, so you really don’t need a lot of students to make this a lucrative side hustle.

NOTE: It helps to get a little training in at first but any native English speaker can learn how to teach in less than a week.

There’s a huge demand for teaching English right now. You can teach independently through Facebook or Skype and get students through a blog or marketing yourself, but the best way is through Tutor.

Requirements: Must be 18 years of age, have a working WIFI connection, working camera, and audio system. They will run a background and criminal check.

5. Company: Affiliate Marketing with ShareAsale.

Lastly, we are going to talk about affiliate marketing because this one is going to work best if you already have a blog or another source of online traffic.

ShareAsale is a site that connects companies with bloggers, or online publishers that have access to a lot of traffic/followers.

Once you sign up for a company’s affiliate program through Shareasale and get a link to their product… That specific link comes with a tracking code.

That code is called cookies, and it means that wherever you put/place that link either within a blog post, a Facebook or a Twitter post, or in an email, if someone clicks your specific affiliate link and makes a purchase, you get a commission — Hello money!

NOTE: I use affiliate marketing as one of my main income sources for this blog and I make really good cash this way! Know that it does take time, in the beginning, to build up the traffic sources to generate sales, however, it really adds up once you get into the swing of things.

Requirements: Must have a large following/traffic source or have a blog, have a working WIFI connection, and disclosure statement. Disclosure statements are needed for affiliate marketing across all platforms including email.
