1. Zero out your money every evening.
Zeroing down is a pretty cool way to save money and here’s how it works!
Subtract the last number of whatever account, wallet, or loose change that you have to zero. That means that if you have $23, you then take that leftover $3 (which leaves you with 20) and put that into your savings account or money jar.
The zeroing out money-saving method saves just a little bit of your unspent money making it a lot easier to focus on saving and less on spending.
2. Count backward from 10.
If you shop from home? Then this one is for you!
Before you pull out your credit card or use your pay pal account for that awesome deal that you just saw on Amazon, or in your email, count backward slowly from 10, breathe in and out several times, and then ask yourself “do you really need this?”
Sometimes it all comes down to creating a space between the thought, the action, and the response to make better decisions.

If you are paying for food or takeout, or anything that gets delivered to your home, handing out that $20 plus dollars in cash is a lot harder than just swiping with your credit/debit card.
When you use the cash studies say that you have an emotional attachment to the physical paper.
And it’s so much easier to process that you are giving your money away then if you were to leave it to tap and pay.
4. Always keep track of your expenses.
Spend the next 30 days writing down every transaction you make, so that by the end of the month you will have a detailed understanding of exactly how much you’re spending each month.

6. Avoid advertisements.
Now, this money-saving tip may sound a little silly, but TRY to avoid any general advertising if possible.
Advertising can really pull us to spend a lot more then we need too. So if you are wanting to save just a little bit more each month then you need to give your brain some space.
Mute the TV or computer if you can especially during commercials and try not to watch the advertisements on social media too.
Doing this will really reduce your likelihood of impulse buying and you’ll get into a great habit of not being subliminally told what to do.
Whatever you decide to do to get your finances in order, know that the world can be your oyster and you do have the power to create the life that you crave!
