1. You sleep with makeup.

You got home late and didn’t wash your face before going to bed. We’ve all been there. There’s a reason you should wash your face every night. If you don’t wash your face after applying makeup, it can cause pores to clog. Makeup wipes are a must-have if you want soft, smooth skin.

2. Not wearing sunscreen.

Your skin is very sensitive to the sun. Sunburns can cause the skin to dry out. Dry skin causes more wrinkles. Sunburns can be very uncomfortable. Sunscreen is a must when you are outside. If you’re outside, remember to apply sunscreen after an hour.

While you may be tempted to spend hours in the sun to get a tan there are many other options. Instead, try spray tanning or lotion. You’ll be better off for your skin long-term, and you still get a tan.

3. Do not touch your face too often.

Sometimes it is easy to touch your head without even thinking. It could be done to scratch an itch or rub your face. Although it may seem simple, you might have forgotten where your hands were. It’s not good for your skin to put your dirty hands on your face.

It is important to be more aware of how often your face gets touched by your hands and to stop it from happening. It is also important to wash your hands frequently. Even if you have to touch your face, your hands will still need to be clean.

4. Changing products too quickly.

You must give a product time to prove its worth. It is unrealistic to expect that you will notice a significant difference in a matter of days. You should give a product time to get results. You will find the products that work best for your skin if you’re patient. It is important to give it at least one month before you switch products. If you experience an adverse reaction, it is important to switch products as soon as possible.

5. Do not forget your neck.

Many people wash their hands only to the chin. They avoid the neck and under the chin. These are vital areas. You want them to match. Your neck shouldn’t have skin that is different from your face. Make sure you also wash, moisturize, and exfoliate the neck when you do your face.

6. Inconsistency in your skincare routine.

If you want your skincare regimen to be successful, it must be consistent. Get disciplined. It is important to take care of your skin each morning and night.

7. Not exfoliating/Exfoliating too much.

Exfoliation refers to the use of small pieces of hard material to scrub your skin. This allows the fresher skin beneath to shine through. Many people make the error of not exfoliating.

The dead skin cells are left in the forefront. There are also other people who exfoliate excessively, which can irritate the skin, making it rougher.

8. Using dirty brushes.

Every day, we use makeup brushes to apply our makeup. Then, we put away the dirty brushes without considering their cleanliness. They may have some old products left on them when we next use them. The brush could have been damaged by this.

After each use, clean your brushes thoroughly. You can clean your brushes by soaking the bristles in water, using a little cleanser to clean the bristles. Rinse the brush and allow it to dry. This will ensure that your brushes are clean and your skin is healthier.

9. Popping pimples.

Pimples can be very painful. It is understandable to want to get rid of a pimple. This is not what you want to do. You increase your chances of developing acne scars by popping a pimple. This can make the problem worse and lead to more pimples. Double up on concealer, and let it go until it disappears on its own.

10. Taking boiling hot showers.

Although I love a hot shower in winter, it doesn’t make my skin any healthier. You may find your skin dry if you take a lot of hot showers. If you don’t feel like taking a cold shower, turn the temperature down. This is another way to avoid skin damage.

11. Neglecting to eat skin-nourishing foods.

Your skin is affected by what you put into your body. To keep your skin healthy and hydrated, you need to eat a healthy diet. Your skin should glow with the nutrients that you are aware of. So what should you eat to keep your skin looking great? These are some great options:

  • avocado

  • Walnuts
  • Bell peppers
  • Broccoli

To nourish your skin, try incorporating these ingredients into your daily meals.
